Perm City Administration introduces KidSmart Early Learning Program in 26 kindergartens.

Fifty-two units of revolutionary learning program KidSmart were installed in 26 Perm kindergartens with the financial support of the Perm City Department of Education. Each unit consists of a computer, a monitor, special furniture, a CD with the learning program, acoustic system, a set of headphones, a microphone, a printer, and a training manual.

A bright blue, yellow, green and red computer module looking more like a giant Lego than a standard computer is expanding the educational possibilities for hundreds of Perm pre-K kids.

The IBM KidSmart Early Learning Program is aimed at kids aged 3-7. It integrates new interactive teaching and learning activities using the latest technology into the pre-kindergarten curricula. It is pre-loaded with age-appropriate award winning educational software on a variety of subjects, from science and math to literacy skills and foreign languages.

"New technologies introduced in Perm kindergartens enhance what we teach in class", - says Ludmila Gadzhieva, Perm City Department of Education Head. - "I'm sure this program will be a success and will help to improve the quality of education".

The program is now being implemented in 60 countries internationally, serving more than 2 million children from remote geographic areas to underprivileged areas of town and cities.
